FAC Evaluates Red Cross EU Project
FAC is undertaking an independent process and end evaluation of the Community Resilience in Urban Areas (CRUA) project.
CRUA is a two-year project funded by the EU that aims to help urban communities to prepare for and recover faster from flooding.
The FAC project team comprises Stephen Purcell, Maria Rochford and Aoife Doyle who will meet coordinators of the project, the British Red Cross in Belfast this week to start work on the first round of evaluation.
This will involve interviews with the British Red Cross and other project participants including the Hungarian and Danish Red Cross, the Internatonal Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) Psycho-Social Centre and the IFRC Climate Centre.
The aim is to determine the extent to which the CRUA project has achieved its core objective of strengthening community resilience to flood events. Interview findings will be used to inform later stages of the evaluation which will happen in the coming months.
