Under a new €320,000 research project awarded by the European CommissionFuture Analytics Consulting (FAC) will develop tools to help prevent the radicalisation of individuals in Europe.

The company will deliver a technology platform with tools including a cyberspace detection system, designed to identify online extremists active on the Dark Web, and a vulnerability assessment tool to identify individuals at risk of radicalisation and will see FAC collaborate with security experts, criminologists and data analysts from across Europe.

“The project will help to identify tell-tale signs of radicalisation and how an intervention could be made at an early stage” – Stephen M. Purcell, Director, Future Analytics Consulting.
