FAC Peer Reviewed the UN DRR Disaster Resilience Scorecard for Industrial and Commercial Buildings

Future Analytics Consulting peer-reviewed the UN DRR Disaster Resilience Building Scorecard for Industrial and Commercial Buildings (referred to as the ‘Building Scorecard’). The Building Scorecard was created by the UN Private Sector Alliances for Disaster Resilient Societies (UN ARISE). Structured around the ‘Ten Essentials for Disaster Risk Reduction’, it enables the establishment of a baseline for the resilience of buildings and campuses to natural or man-made hazards, allowing improvements to be identified and prioritised.

Our Managing Director, Prof. William Hynes, was quoted in the press release for the Scorecard, stating “the development of the ARISE Scorecard for owners and operators of industrial and commercial real estate provides an excellent applied basis for assessing the resilience of these essential buildings within the economic development and growth of urban areas, regions and countries. Overall, the Scorecard is an excellent framework for analysis of building resilience.”
