Horizon 2020 (H2020) Workshop, University College Cork, September 2017
On the 22nd of September, Professor William Hynes delivered a Workshop centred on the EU Horizon 2020 (H2020) Programme in University College Cork (UCC). Organised by Dr. Karen Neville (UCC College of Business and Law), the Workshop aimed to provide participants with an in-depth overview of the funding Programme, including the core differences between H2020 and its predecessor, the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Among the items discussed were ‘Finding and Deciding on Suitable Call Topic’, ‘Finding, Joining and Forming a Project Consortium’, and ‘Preparing and Submitting a Proposal’. The Workshop also facilitated crucial networking opportunities – an essential part of early H2020 work. Professor Hynes and the College of Business and Law look forward to holding similar Workshops in the future and will be delighted to consider the excellent feedback and suggestions from Workshop participants in shaping future events.
