For information, please note that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published, on 12th July 2017, its draft Guidelines on information to be contained in Environmental Impact Assessment Reports on its website: http://epa.ie/pubs/advice/licensee/eiarguidelines.html

The document has been released by the EPA in draft form pending transposition of Directive 2014/52/EU (the 2014 EIA Directive) into national legislation. The draft Guidelines will be reviewed when the new transposing regulations are available.

When finalised, the Guidelines will replace the EPA’s 2002 Guidelines on the information to be contained in Environmental Impact Statements which were published pursuant to Section 72 of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992, as amended. The EPA will also publish revised Advice Notes on Current Practice after the Guidelines have been adopted and published.
